UBJP, BAPA, Pro-Bangsamoro file for BARMM seats

The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), led by Interim Chief Minister Ahod 'Al Haj Murad' Ebrahim, has officially launched its bid to retain control of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliament. The filing was made on November 8 during the week-long filing period set by the Commission on Elections.

The Bangsamoro Party (BAPA), led by Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Muslimin Sema, has also filed its intention to participate in the first parliamentary elections of BARMM. The party is aiming for political party seats within the parliament.

Misuari's Mahardika Party submitted a manifestation of intent to join the race for BARMM parliamentary seats on November 9, just before the close of the filing period.

Pro-Bangsamoro, despite losing at least 4,000 votes due to Sulu province being excluded from the region, has filed its intention to vie for seats in the parliament. The party's first nominee is BARMM Member of Parliament Don Mustapha Loong.
