Zubiri urges transparency in P6.793 trillion 2026 budget implementation

Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri urged the executive branch to ensure utmost transparency in implementing the P6.793-trillion 2026 national budget.

He stated that the executive branch must carry the budget across the finish line with the same commitment to transparency that the Senate showed during its legislative process.

Zubiri emphasized that the Senate ratified the budget after a process conducted in full view of the public and will keep watch on its delivery.

He added that the Senate ensured no midnight insertions, no for-later-identification items, and all items had clear work programs, locations, and timelines.
