Zubiri takes vacation amid Senate leadership change

Senator Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri is taking a three-week family vacation to de-stress from the "nasty backstabbing" in politics following his ouster as Senate President.

He expressed that this break is for personal time and to give his family undivided attention, emphasizing that it is not at the government's expense.

Zubiri admitted feeling heartbroken not over losing his position but due to perceived betrayals, particularly mentioning his surprise at Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa's support for his removal.

He noted feeling more relaxed after stepping down, describing the removal from the Senate Presidency as a significant burden lifted from his shoulders.

After his vacation, Zubiri plans to regroup with a group referred to as the "Solid 7" to determine their future political direction.

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. stated he was informed about the leadership change in the Senate but denied any involvement.

Zubiri declined to comment on the President's statement, preferring to let the public judge the situation.
