PRO-9 deploys 1,420 cops for secure Holy Week

PRO-9 Director Brig. Gen. Roel Rodolfo stated that the intensified security operation aims to safeguard devotees, tourists, and the public during Lenten season activities.

Police officers are strategically stationed in key areas such as churches, major thoroughfares, transport terminals, and commercial centers.

The PRO-9 personnel are augmented by 129 members of auxiliary units and 79 individuals from advocacy support groups.

These augmenting forces will assist with tasks including traffic management, public information dissemination, and crowd control.

PRO-9 has also enhanced visibility patrols, intensified intelligence monitoring, and activated Police Assistance Desks across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
