Carlos Yulo achieved a historic feat in the 2024 Paris Olympics, securing two gold medals in vault and floor exercise, marking the Philippines' most successful Olympic campaign.

Following his unprecedented achievement, Carlos Yulo was honored as the 2024 Athlete of the Year by the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA).

Seventeen-year-old Karl Eldrew Yulo, who also attended the PSA awards night and received a special citation, expressed his pride in his brother and his own aspirations to win an Athlete of the Year award.

Carlos Yulo expressed immense pride in his brother's progress, noting his advancements in his favorite events.
