Yeng Guiao defends reaction to flagrant fouls

Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao defended his reaction to flagrant fouls committed by TNT players Glenn Khobuntin and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser during Game 3 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals.

Khobuntin was called for a flagrant foul penalty one for hitting Gian Mamuyac's head, while Ganuelas-Rosser received the same penalty for pushing Nocum mid-air.

Guiao expressed concern for player safety, especially given that both teams are undermanned and dealing with significant injuries.

He stated that while physical play is acceptable, actions that could injure or derail a player's career are unnecessary and unacceptable.

Guiao received a technical foul for his profanity during the incident, while Khobuntin was assessed a flagrant foul penalty one.
