Will Liwag named NCAA Season 101 MVP

College of Saint Benilde's Will Liwag was crowned the back-to-back MVP for Season 101 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament.

Liwag averaged 15.71 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block per game in seven elimination round games.

He was also named to the Mythical Five and the All-Defensive Team.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran's Titing Manalili was recognized as both Rookie of the Year and Freshman of the Year, averaging 14.1 points, 8.9 assists, and 5.2 rebounds.

San Sebastian College's Jhuniel Dela Rama earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and a spot on the Mythical Five and the All-Defensive Team.

The Mythical Five also included San Beda's Janti Miller, Letran's Kevin Santos, and Mapua's Cyrus Nitura.

Arellano guard Renzo Abiera won the Most Improved Player award.

The Perpetual Help Altas received the Sportsmanship Award and also bagged the bronze medal after defeating Benilde, 87-75.
