Western Visayas LGUs list seniors for vax

Local government units in Western Visayas are compiling lists of senior citizens for COVID-19 vaccination.

The DOH Western Visayas Center for Health Development (WV CHD) has established registration areas in barangays for this purpose.

The deadline for master listing of senior citizens was initially March 31 but was extended.

Senior citizens, individuals with comorbidities, essential frontline workers, and the indigent population are the next priority groups after healthcare workers.

As of March 28, 2021, 26,442 healthcare workers in Western Visayas had received their first vaccine dose.

Meanwhile, senior citizens in Central Visayas have until April 15 to register for vaccination.

This registration is for the expected arrival of additional vaccines intended for priority sectors A2 and A3, following the inoculation of healthcare workers.
