Weightlifters from Hidilyn Diaz's centers bag multiple golds at Batang Pinoy

Weightlifters from Hidilyn Diaz's training centers in Rizal and Zamboanga City performed exceptionally well at the 2025 Batang Pinoy competitions.

Stephanie Mandigma from Rizal Province, a trainee of the Hidilyn Diaz Weightlifting Academy, won gold in the girls' 40-kilogram category with a total lift of 113 kilograms.

Mandigma expressed gratitude to Hidilyn Diaz, stating, "Coach Hidilyn inspires me. Thankful po ako na maging coach si Hidilyn kasi kung wala po siya, hindi ko makukuha itong gold."

Kyle Nathan Kue of Zamboanga City, inspired by Diaz to become an Olympian, won the boys' 12-year-old category with a total lift of 150 kg.

His cousin, Al-Fhadzrhey Sabban, also from Zamboanga City and a former national weightlifter's grandson, secured a silver medal in the same category.

Rizal Province secured a total of three gold medals, including a win by Pep Samantha Agosto in the girls' 11-age category with a 135kg lift.

Zamboanga City achieved a total of five gold medals, with additional wins from Hero Anthony Alas-as, Jane Marie Manalo, Cydrille Jay Andalahao, and Precious Jade Lozada.
