Water pipe burst floods Vasra, affects 2,980 households

A 300-millimeter water pipe burst along Visayas Avenue in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City, causing flooded streets and disrupting services.

Manila Water began repairs at 8 a.m. on Monday, expecting to complete them by 2 p.m., after initially delaying valve closure until after peak hours.

The burst pipe affected at least 2,980 households in the barangays of Vasra, Culiat, and New Era.

Manila Water has deployed five water tankers to provide temporary water supply to affected residents while repairs are underway.

The cause of the leak is still unconfirmed by Manila Water.
