VP Sara Duterte leads tree planting campaign, marks 1 million trees planted

Vice President Sara Duterte led the nationwide PagbaBAGo Tree Planting Campaign at the Cesar C. Climaco Freedom Park in Zamboanga City, marking the planting of the one-millionth tree.

The campaign, launched in 2022, aims for environmental sustainability and climate action, accomplishing its tree planting goal in three years, half the original six-year projection.

The PagbaBAGo campaign mobilized thousands of volunteers, students, local government units, and private partners nationwide in collective efforts to rehabilitate watersheds, protect biodiversity, and promote climate resilience.

Vice President Duterte emphasized the long-term benefit of the tree planting, stating, "Ang mga puno na itinanim natin ay maipapamana natin para sa mga anak natin."

Duterte also led the distribution of PagbaBAGo Bags to 526 learners in Pasonanca Elementary School, reinforcing the OVP's advocacies for education and environment.
