VP Sara says PBBM may not have understood her sarcasm

Vice President Sara Duterte stated that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. may not have understood her sarcasm when she thanked him for facilitating her reconciliation with her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

VP Sara remarked that Marcos Jr.'s duty is to the country, not to fix personal family issues, implying the sarcasm was lost on him.

She recently visited her father in The Hague, where he is in the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Following her visit, she had expressed gratitude for the "forgiveness" between her and her father, which she attributed to Marcos Jr.'s intervention.

Malacañang Press Officer Claire Castro had previously suggested that VP Sara should primarily thank her father, Rodrigo Duterte, for the circumstances that led to the situation.

Castro noted that the drug war cases and subsequent complaints against Rodrigo Duterte created the opportunity for him to be in The Hague.
