VP Robredo overwhelmed by donations for typhoon victims

Vice President Leni Robredo expressed being overwhelmed by the generosity of Filipinos who are extending help to those affected by recent typhoons.

She thanked individuals, groups, and organizations for their donations of food, supplies, and monetary contributions.

Robredo noted that help has been pouring in since the Office of the Vice President (OVP) began accepting donations for victims of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.

As of Tuesday morning, the OVP's fund drive, in partnership with Kaya Natin for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership, reached P64.37 million.

Robredo's office has deployed teams to conduct needs assessment and relief distribution in several provinces, including Cagayan, Isabela, Quezon, Rizal, Camarines Norte, Albay, Catanduanes, and Camarines Sur.

She has personally visited these provinces and will continue to focus on areas with significant damage and limited assistance.
