VP Robredo gains local leaders' support

Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential campaign is gaining momentum, evidenced by the growing number of local leaders publicly supporting her bid, according to her spokesperson.

Key figures from the National Unity Party, including Cavite Representative Elpidio Barzaga and Misamis Oriental Representative Juliet Uy, have endorsed Robredo, despite their party's official support for Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Robredo's spokesperson, Ibarra Gutierrez, expressed gratitude for these endorsements, viewing them as strong proof of the campaign's increasing traction.

Gutierrez attributed this momentum to the strength of the "People's Campaign," highlighting the active involvement of citizens supporting Robredo.

He also conveyed confidence that more leaders and Filipinos will align with Robredo in the final stretch leading up to election day.

Several governors have also publicly declared their support for Robredo's presidential run, including those from Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Bulacan, Eastern Samar, and Davao del Norte.
