VP Leni sees need for single opposition bet in 2022 polls

Vice President Leni Robredo believes that a single opposition candidate is necessary to defeat President Duterte's chosen successor in the 2022 elections, to prevent the continuation of the current administration's policies.

Robredo stated that having multiple opposition candidates would inadvertently ensure the victory of the administration's chosen candidate.

She explained that this is one of the reasons why she has not yet announced her presidential bid for Eleksyon 2022.

Robredo emphasized the need for an inclusive and hands-on leader in 2022, especially as the country continues to grapple with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also mentioned that some local officials in Camarines Sur have encouraged her to run for governor.
