VP Sara Duterte visits ex-VP Leni Robredo in Naga

Vice President Sara Duterte visited former Vice President Leni Robredo at Robredo's residence in Naga City, facilitated by a mutual friend.

The meeting occurred during the Peñafrancia Festival, which Robredo described as a politically neutral event.

Robredo's spokesperson confirmed the meeting, stating that Robredo was informed of Duterte's arrival shortly beforehand.

The Office of the Vice President emphasized that Duterte did not appear desperate or distressed during her visit.

Following Duterte's visit, Robredo also met with other political figures, including Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Senator Bong Revilla, who are allies of President Marcos.

Robredo stated that the Peñafrancia celebration has always been inclusive, welcoming everyone regardless of political affiliation, a tradition she noted began when her late husband was mayor of Naga City.
