VP Duterte to meet Robredo, Bicol officials during Peñafrancia Festival

Vice President Sara Duterte plans to meet with her predecessor, now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, and other Bicol officials during the upcoming Peñafrancia Festival.

Duterte announced her intention to attend the festival and engage with local leaders upon her return to the Philippines from the Netherlands.

She expressed a desire to meet with officials from Naga and the wider Bicol Region, provided her schedule allows.

The Vice President confirmed her trip to Bicol will include small sectoral gatherings to discuss local issues, particularly those affected by corruption in government projects.

Meanwhile, she revealed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has barred her family from disclosing details of their visits to her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who remains in detention in The Hague.

The family is preparing for the ICC's confirmation of charges hearing of the former president on 23 September.
