Vivant Corp. secures P3B loan from Chinabank for expansion projects

Vivant Corp. has secured a P3-billion loan from Chinabank to refinance existing debt and fund its expanding power and water infrastructure projects.

The three-year term loan will bolster Vivant's investments in various energy sources, including hydropower, solar, and wind power.

The company is also actively developing water supply, wastewater treatment, and desalination facilities.

Vivant has a portfolio of projects at various stages of development, including a six-megawatt run-of-river hydropower facility in Negros Occidental and a 22-MW-peak solar farm in Bulacan.

Also in the pipeline is a 206-MW wind project in northern Samar, being developed in partnership with Aboitiz Renewables Inc. and Singapore-based Vena Energy.

The companies recently secured approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission to connect the large-scale wind farm to the Visayas grid.
