Vico Sotto, Dodot Jaworski file COCs for Pasig reelection

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski have filed their certificates of candidacy for re-election in the 2025 midterm elections.

Both Sotto and Jaworski are running as independent candidates.

Sotto, who is running for his third and final term, stated that the upcoming term will focus on institutionalizing reforms and expanding existing programs.

Key priorities for Sotto's term include enhancing the senior citizen pension program and completing the construction of the new city hall.

Vice Mayor Jaworski plans to concentrate on local legislation concerning livelihood opportunities and strengthening Pasig's business-friendly environment to create more jobs.

Jaworski also mentioned the continuation of the Pag-Asa Scholarship program to ensure educational access for all residents.

Sotto slammed remarks from owners of St. Gerrard Construction who claimed they felt compelled to run for public office because of him, stating that entering politics should not be an excuse to violate the law.
