Veteran actress Loly Mara dies at 86

Veteran actress Gloria "Loly" Mara has passed away at the age of 86.

Her family confirmed her death through a social media post on Saturday night, expressing their heartbreak and love for her.

Mara was known for her roles in various Filipino films and television shows, including "Bagets," "Kambal Karibal," "My Destiny," and "Rhodora X."

She received a Best Supporting Actress award at Cinemalaya 2016 for her role in "Ang Bagong Pamilya Ni Ponching," sharing it with Elizabeth Oropesa.

Her family remembers her as an extraordinary, strong, compassionate, and loving mother and grandmother, whose kindness and thoughtfulness will live on.
