Veejay Pre leaves FEU citing family advice

Veejay Pre has officially announced his departure from Far Eastern University (FEU) after weeks of speculation, citing family advice as the primary reason for his decision.

Pre expressed that while leaving is difficult, accepting the situation is the most painful part of the process.

The talented forward acknowledged that growth and improvement are crucial for an athlete, but challenging circumstances sometimes necessitate tough choices.

His decision follows weeks after FEU athletic director Mark Molina stated that Pre was being compelled to leave by his family, despite his own desire to remain with the team.

Molina also revealed that Pre had sought assistance in convincing his father to allow him to stay at FEU, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Pre emphasized that his family's input was crucial in his decision-making, recognizing their desire for his best interests and acknowledging the difficulty of this significant step.

The Tamaraws will face a considerable setback with Pre's departure, as the team finished sixth in Season 87 with a 5-9 record and narrowly missed a Final Four appearance.
