Valenzuela to know COVID-19 trend in 10 days

Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian stated that the city will have a clearer picture of its COVID-19 infection trajectory within 10 days, once their mass testing program is completed.

Gatchalian mentioned it is too early to determine if the city is flattening the curve as only around 125 residents have been tested under the program so far.

The city is expecting to complete testing of all suspected cases, health workers, and frontliners, totaling about 1,400 individuals, by next Monday.

Valenzuela City currently has 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with three recoveries, four deaths, and 195 suspected cases.

Senator Win Gatchalian emphasized that flattening the curve is a minimum condition before lifting the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and urged local government heads to ensure compliance with quarantine rules.
