UST, NU clinch Final Four berths in UAAP men's tennis

Defending champion University of Santo Tomas (UST) and National University (NU) have secured spots in the UAAP Season 87 men's tennis Final Four.

UST defeated the University of the Philippines (UP) with a score of 4-1, with Ericjay Tangub winning a gritty second singles match and Steven Sonsona and Symon Jaculan clinching the pivotal second doubles match.

NU achieved a dominant 5-0 victory against Ateneo de Manila University.

Both UST and NU now hold identical 7-1 win-loss records, positioning them strongly in the tournament.

UP follows closely with a 6-3 record, while the University of the East has a 5-3 standing.

UST's assistant coach Johnny Arcilla emphasized the importance of consistent training and maintaining player fitness to prevent cramping during prolonged matches, noting the team's confidence in their veteran players.
