USC grad tops December 2024 CPA exams

Jianne Ilysse Dy Yu, a graduate of the University of San Carlos, emerged as the topnotcher in the December 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants with a score of 89.67%.

She was followed by Julianne Nicole Vitug of the University of the Philippines Diliman with 89.50 points, and Joebin Lopez of Saint Paul School of Professional Studies with 89.33 points.

A total of 3,058 out of 10,361 examinees successfully passed the CPA licensure exam.

The examination was originally scheduled for October but was postponed due to Tropical Storm Kristine.

University of the Philippines Diliman was the top-performing school with a 98.04% passing rate, followed by De La Salle University-Manila with an 80.53% passing rate.

Both top-performing schools had at least 50 examinees and a minimum passing percentage of 80 percent.
