Ulysses affects 3.8 million, causes billions in damage

Typhoon Ulysses affected approximately 3.8 million individuals or over 932,000 families across Regions I, II, III, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, V, NCR, and CAR.

As of the report, 34,328 families or 139,866 persons were housed in evacuation centers, with an additional 12,829 families or 46,848 persons seeking shelter outside.

The typhoon resulted in 73 confirmed deaths, 68 injuries, and 19 missing persons.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines are continuing search and rescue operations and have transitioned to rehabilitation and relief support.

Power has been restored to 223 out of 375 cities and municipalities that experienced outages.

The total cost of assistance for victims reached PHP125.725 million, with the DSWD spending PHP77.9 million and LGUs PHP44.1 million.

Damage to agriculture was placed at PHP4.2 billion, and damage to infrastructure was estimated at PHP8.7 billion.
