UK PM Boris Johnson tests positive for COVID-19

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating at his Downing Street residence.

Johnson stated that he developed mild symptoms, including a temperature and a persistent cough, leading him to take a test on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer.

Despite his isolation, the Prime Minister assured the public that he will continue to work from home and lead the national response against the coronavirus pandemic using modern technology.

He expressed gratitude to the UK's National Health Service (NHS) staff, police, social care workers, teachers, and other public service employees for their efforts.

Johnson also commended the remarkable response of the British public, highlighting that 600,000 people have volunteered to aid in the national effort to protect citizens from the virus.
