UE Warriors score second win in Pinoyliga Juniors Cup

The University of the East (UE) Warriors secured their second consecutive victory in the Pinoyliga Juniors Cup by defeating the Ateneo Eaglets 74-67 last Sunday at the Enderun College Gym in Taguig City.

Jean Varole led the Warriors with 14 points and nine rebounds, supported by John Alejandro's 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Jamal Diaz also contributed 10 points.

Alfonso Tan scored 17 points for Ateneo, with Jaym Leal and Ziv Espinas, son of former PBA player Gabby Espinas, adding 11 points each.

This win places UE in an early tie for the lead with Mapua and San Beda, while Ateneo's debut game resulted in a loss.

In other games, San Beda defeated Letran 74-71, with MJ Vailoces scoring 21 points for San Beda, and San Sebastian College-Recoletos beat the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA 75-67.
