UAE overseas Filipino voters turnout at 20%

The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai have released the results for the 2025 Philippine National and Local Elections overseas voting in the UAE.

Out of 189,892 registered overseas voters in the UAE, 37,976 Filipinos, or 20%, cast their votes between April 13 and May 12, 2025.

A total of 13,234 votes were cast from Abu Dhabi and 24,742 votes from Dubai.

The total votes from the UAE constitute 17% of approximately 1.3 million overseas voters nationwide.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ferdinan Ver described these figures as positive, especially considering this was the first time online voting was implemented and campaigning was prohibited in the UAE.

He also noted that the online voting was successful, with a significant number of overseas Filipino voters participating.
