Typhoon Tino exits PAR, leaves Kalayaan Islands under Signal No. 1

Typhoon Tino, the deadliest tropical cyclone in the Philippines for 2025 so far, has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 12:30 am on Thursday, November 6.

However, the Kalayaan Islands remain under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as of 5 am, with minimal to minor threats to life and property possible.

Located 265 kilometers north northwest of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan, Tino's maximum sustained winds were 155 km/h with gusts up to 190 km/h before accelerating out of PAR.

The typhoon is now moving west northwest towards Central Vietnam at 35 km/h and is expected to slightly weaken before making landfall there within the next 24 hours.

The outer rainbands of Tino and the northeast monsoon are expected to bring strong wind gusts to several other provinces not directly under a wind signal, including Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Palawan, and Antique.

Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution due to hazardous sea conditions, with up to rough seas forecast over the northern seaboards of Kalayaan Islands and western seaboards of Palawan.
