The typhoon is expected to remain at typhoon category throughout its passage over Mindoro Island and may re-intensify over the West Philippine Sea.

Another low pressure area spotted east of Southern Luzon may enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Wednesday or Thursday morning but is less likely to develop into a tropical depression.
