Typhoon Marce exits PAR, trough affects Luzon

Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday afternoon, November 8.

As of 4 p.m., its center was observed 270 kilometers west of Batac, Ilocos Norte, maintaining maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 185 kilometers per hour.

Marce is moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour and is expected to re-intensify over the West Philippine Sea.

Despite exiting PAR, Marce's trough continues to affect parts of Luzon, with La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA advises residents in these areas to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA is also monitoring a new low-pressure area (LPA) spotted approximately 1,705 kilometers east of southern Luzon, which has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
