TS Paolo intensifies, 7 areas under Signal No. 2

Tropical Storm Paolo has slightly intensified and is now moving west northwestward over the Philippine Sea.

PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over seven areas: Isabela, northern Quirino, northern Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and northern Aurora.

These areas under Signal No. 2 can expect gale-force winds within 24 hours.

The storm has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kilometers per hour.

Signal No. 1 has been hoisted over a wider area, including Cagayan, the rest of Quirino, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos provinces, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, the rest of Aurora, parts of Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
