TRB approves Cavitex toll rate hike effective Oct 28

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the toll rate hike for the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), which will take effect on October 28, 2025.

This rate increase, approved based on petitions filed in 2020 and 2023 by CAVITEX Infrastructure Corp. (CIC) and the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), aims to support ongoing upgrades and maintenance activities for the expressway.

For the CAVITEX R1 Portion (Seaside to Zapote), Class 1 vehicles will see their toll increase from P35 to P39, Class 2 from P70 to P78, and Class 3 from P104 to P117.

The CAVITEX R1 Extension Segment 4 (Zapote to Kawit) will implement its toll adjustments in two tranches, with the first tranche seeing Class 1 vehicles pay P88 (up from P73), Class 2 P176 (up from P146), and Class 3 P264 (up from P219).

CAVITEX will also reactivate its "Abante Program" to offer a 90-day toll reprieve at the old rates for registered public utility vehicles (PUVs) and agricultural trucks to mitigate the impact on motorists.
