Govt agencies, Quiapo Church conduct safety walkthrough for 2026 Traslacion route

Government agencies, Quiapo Church officials, and representatives from various sectors conducted a safety walkthrough along the planned route for the 2026 Traslacion of the Jesus Nazareno image.

The inspection, which began at the Quirino Grandstand and ended at Quiapo Church, aimed to identify potential hazards and ensure the safety of devotees.

Several issues were flagged during the walkthrough, including ongoing road works, low-hanging electrical wires, obstructive tree branches, and waiting sheds.

The traslacion will follow the traditional pre-pandemic route, passing through Rizal Park, Plaza del Carmen, Plaza Miranda, and seven bridges.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has reaffirmed the city government's commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly Black Nazarene feast.

The team will compile a checklist of identified problems to be submitted to the relevant authorities for action.
