TNT Tropang Giga take Game 1 of PBA Finals vs Ginebra

The TNT Tropang Giga secured a 1-0 lead in the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals by defeating the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings, 95-89, in Game 1.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson spearheaded the Tropang Giga's offense with 34 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, playing the entire 48 minutes of the game.

Key contributions also came from RR Pogoy with 15 points, and Calvin Oftana and Rey Nambatac, who each added 10 points.

Despite trailing by as many as 18 points, the Gin Kings mounted a significant comeback in the fourth quarter, narrowing the gap to a one-possession game late in the match.

TNT Tropang Giga coach Chot Reyes emphasized the importance of his team staying calm and expecting Ginebra's run, acknowledging the strength and depth of their opponent.

Hollis-Jefferson noted that Ginebra's resilience is expected, highlighting that his team is prepared to compete at the highest level.

The Tropang Giga are looking to extend their lead to 2-0 in the best-of-seven series in Game 2.
