Filipino "The Voice" champ to perform at MIFF tribute

Sofronio Vasquez, the first Filipino and Asian winner of USA's "The Voice" Season 26, will perform at a special dinner tribute for first responders during the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) on March 7.

The dinner, held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, will serve as the closing night of the MIFF, which has been rescheduled to March 4-7.

Film screenings will take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Vasquez's performance is dedicated to the heroes who worked to contain the recent Southern California wildfires.

A portion of the proceeds from all MIFF events, including the screenings and tribute dinner, will be donated to the Los Angeles fire relief efforts.

This event marks Vasquez's first live performance in America since his victory on "The Voice" in December.
