Team PH bags 8 golds in practical shooting debut at SEA Games

Team Philippines secured eight gold medals in practical shooting at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Chonburi, Thailand, marking their most prolific day in the games.

The gold medalists are Rolly Nathaniel Tecson (standard division), Edcel Gino (men's production optics), Erin Matter Nicor (women's open division), and Genesis Pible (women's production optics).

Tecson clinched the title in men's standard with 1,680.7889 points, while Gino won the men's production optic with 1,654.0344 points.

Nicor collected 1,399.3154 points to reign supreme in the women's open practical shooting, and Pible defeated Thailand's Thanawadee Perkyam in the women's production optic individual finals with a score of 1,293.7900.

This achievement, which adds to the medal haul for the Chonburi cluster, follows Elreen Ando's earlier gold in women's 63kg weightlifting.

This marks the first time practical shooting is being staged in the SEA Games.
