Taguig City imposes lockdowns on 2 areas due to COVID-19 clusters

Taguig City has placed a workers' quarter in Barangay Palingon-Tipas and a household in Barangay Katuparan under a 15-day lockdown due to clusters of COVID-19 infections.

The workers' quarters are under lockdown from August 19 to September 2, affecting 52 individuals, 18 of whom tested positive for COVID-19.

A household in Barangay Katuparan was also locked down after 20 members tested positive for the virus.

The City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit investigated the areas upon release of RT-PCR test results, confirming clusters of infections.

Entry and exit from the affected areas are restricted, and they will be monitored round-the-clock by a dedicated team.

The city government will provide essential supplies and monitor the health and living conditions of those quarantined.

Further testing will be conducted to determine the full extent of the virus's spread.
