SWS: Pres Marcos Jr., VP Duterte trust ratings drop in September

A September 2025 Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey shows a decline in trust ratings for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte.

President Marcos Jr.'s trust rating decreased by five percentage points to 43% from 48% in June 2025, with his net trust rating falling 11 points to +7.

Vice President Duterte's trust rating also declined, falling by eight percentage points to 53% from her June 2025 rating of 61%.

Stratbase President Dindo Manhit suggested these drops reflect a 'shifting public mood' as Filipinos re-evaluate their confidence in national leaders.

The survey, which involved 1,500 respondents, was conducted between September 24 and 30, 2025.

While Vice President Duterte maintains strong support in Mindanao (82%), her numbers fell significantly in Balance Luzon (40%), the Visayas (56%), and Metro Manila (44%).
