Super Typhoon Julian intensifies, moves away from PH

As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, Julian had maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h and gusts up to 230 km/h, located 205 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes.

The super typhoon is expected to make landfall along the southwestern coast of Taiwan on Wednesday and leave the Philippine area of responsibility by Thursday.
