Sual mayor files COC amid POGO probe ties to Alice Guo

Sual, Pangasinan Mayor Liseldo "Dong" Calugay filed his certificate of candidacy for reelection in the 2025 elections, seeking to continue his service with compassion.

Calugay's political bid comes after his attendance at a Senate investigation concerning illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

During the investigation, Calugay was questioned about his alleged personal and business connections with dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

He denied having a romantic relationship with Guo, despite the existence of photos showing them together, stating he was in a committed relationship with another person.

Calugay also asserted to the Senate that he has no current or past business dealings with Guo, even though five farm business registrations bearing names associated with both of them were presented as evidence.
