St. Luke's QC opens 40-bed charity ward for indigent patients

St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC)-Quezon City has opened a new 40-bed charity ward to offer free, high-quality healthcare services to indigent Filipino patients.

The Evelyn D. Ang/ Daña Charity Ward, funded by the St. Luke's Medical Center Foundation Inc. and its donors, aims to serve those who cannot afford medical treatment.

Patients will be prioritized based on social service evaluations, with the poorest receiving completely free medication and others having a significant portion of their hospital bills covered.

The ward, operational since November 10, provides both inpatient and outpatient services and specifically aims to reach patients from disadvantaged areas, including those in far-flung provinces.
