St. Benilde clinches Final Four twice-to-beat advantage

St. Benilde secured a twice-to-beat advantage in Group B of the NCAA Season 101 men's basketball tournament by defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College, 87-82.

Allen Liwag, returning from a shoulder injury, led the Blazers with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block.

With this win, Benilde finished the elimination round on a three-game winning streak, holding a 9-4 record.

Emilio Aguinaldo College finished at the bottom of Group B with a 4-9 record, despite strong performances from Jude Bagay and Aldeo Lucero.

The Blazers will face Group A's third seed, Mapua, in the quarterfinals, setting up a rematch of last season's Finals.
