South Korean actor Jo Yoon Woo to wed and retire after 15-year career

South Korean actor Jo Yoon Woo has announced his upcoming marriage and retirement from acting after a 15-year career.

He shared his decision through a heartfelt letter posted on Instagram, stating he has met a "precious person" he wishes to spend the rest of his life with.

Jo Yoon Woo explained that after much deliberation, he decided to end his acting career to build a humble life with his partner.

He reflected on his 15 years in the industry, which began at the age of 21, as a truly precious time.

The actor expressed a desire to protect his partner, whom he has been with for over four years and considers his closest friend, and build a joyous life together.

Jo Yoon Woo debuted in 2011 and is known for his roles in dramas such as "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop," "The Heirs," and "Hwarang," with his last appearance being in the 2023 drama "Not Others."
