Sonny Estil crowned MVP at PBA Draft Combine

Sonny Estil earned MVP honors and hit the game-winning basket at the PBA Draft Combine, leading Team A2-Barangay Ginebra to a 37-35 victory.

Estil was selected 11th overall by Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Draft proper.

Coach Tim Cone expressed his admiration for Estil, noting that Estil's MVP performance at the combine almost caused Ginebra to miss out on drafting him.

Estil, who played for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the MPBL, gained significant attention after his standout performance in the combine.

He was joined in the Mythical Five by Dalph Panopio, Edrian Ramirez, Mario Barasi, and Jun Roque.

Chris Miller won the three-point contest.

The PBA Draft proper was held at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
