Soccsksargen reports 28 new COVID-19 recoveries

Soccsksargen region in the Philippines reported 26 new recoveries from COVID-19 as of Monday night, September 28, 2020.

As of Tuesday evening, September 29, 2020, the region logged 28 new recoveries, with Cotabato City having the highest number at 11.

Other recoveries were recorded in South Cotabato (6), General Santos City (5), Sultan Kudarat (3), North Cotabato (2), and Sarangani (1).

On the same day, 30 new confirmed cases were logged, with South Cotabato having 13 cases, followed by General Santos City (9), Cotabato City (4), Sultan Kudarat (2), and North Cotabato (1).

Arjohn Gangoso, spokesperson for the Department of Health in Region 12 (Soccsksargen), stated that there is still no room for complacency despite encouraging recovery figures.

As of Tuesday evening, September 29, 2020, Soccsksargen has a total of 1,404 cumulative cases, with 884 recoveries, 485 active cases, and 34 deaths.

South Cotabato has the highest number of active cases at 174, followed by General Santos City (157) and Cotabato City (72).
