Smith's 37 points lead Phoenix past Terrafirma

Donovan Smith powered Phoenix to a 122-108 victory over Terrafirma in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup, improving the Fuel Masters' playoff chances with his 37 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks.

The win marked Phoenix's second victory in the conference, bringing their record to 2-5 and placing them 11th in the standings.

Phoenix established an early lead with a strong second quarter, outscoring Terrafirma 31-13, and maintained control despite a second-half push from the Dyip.

Jason Perkins contributed 16 points, while Ricci Rivero and Tyler Tio added 14 and 10 points respectively for Phoenix.

Kai Ballungay also scored 10 points for Phoenix, who had multiple players in double digits.

Terrafirma suffered their eighth consecutive loss, with Brandon Edwards scoring 25 points and Louie Sangalang adding 22.

Phoenix's next game is against Rain or Shine on January 11.
