SMC waives toll fees for government vehicles assisting typhoon victims

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is waiving toll fees for marked government vehicles participating in relief and recovery operations following Typhoon Uwan.

This initiative is in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to facilitate the swift movement of emergency responders across Luzon.

SMC Infrastructure, which operates major expressways in Luzon, is coordinating with the Department of Transportation and the Toll Regulatory Board to implement this waiver.

The company's personnel are actively assisting emergency convoys to ensure their unimpeded and safe passage to affected communities.

SMC Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang emphasized that this measure is part of the company's commitment to assist the government during calamities and ensure aid reaches those in need.
