SMC, ALI break ground on Ayala Greenfield Interchange

San Miguel Corp. (SMC) and Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI), through Ayala Greenfield Development Corp. (AGDC), have commenced construction of the Ayala Greenfield Interchange.

The interchange will link the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Toll Road 3 (TR3) to local roads, providing direct access to AyalaLand Premier's residential community.

The project's groundbreaking ceremony was led by SMC chairperson and CEO Ramon Ang, AGDC chairman Joselito Campos Jr., and Ayala Corp. and Ayala Land chairperson Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala.

This critical infrastructure development is expected to enhance connectivity and drive economic growth in Southern Luzon.

It will improve access to SLEX and the STAR Tollway, while also helping to decongest local roads.

With SLEX Toll Road 4 (TR4) completed, travel time between Sto. Tomas and Lucena will be reduced from three hours to 45 minutes.

The interchange will be part of a broader transportation network planned by SMC, including SLEX-TR4 and future TR5, spanning 542 kilometers.

SMC plans to upgrade the SLEX to a 6x6 lane expressway by the end of the year.
