SMC, CPFI assure adequate food supply during ECQ

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Century Pacific Food Inc. have assured the public of adequate food supply throughout the Luzon enhanced community quarantine.

SMC president Ramon S. Ang stated that the company's food and beverage facilities are operating and will have enough food stocks for everyone.

Daily production figures from SMC include 1.96 million kilos of fresh meats, 524,000 kilos of processed meats, and 2.11 million kilos of flour and baked goods.

SMC has implemented safety measures for its employees to ensure continued production.

Century Pacific Food Inc. also confirmed sufficient raw materials and ingredients to sustain production, with enough supply for trade partners, distributors, and retailers.

CPFI President Ted Po advised against panic buying, stating that factories are operating with a skeletal workforce and warehouses have sufficient stock.

Both companies are confident that together with other food manufacturers and with the government's support, the supply chain will remain stable.
